Shipping & Returns

Below are some common questions about shipping, returns, and exchanges

Do you offer free shipping?

We're happy to offer free express shipping on all Australian orders over $49.
Orders under $49 are charged a $9.99 shipping fee but we send everything with Express Post for super fast delivery!

When will my order be dispatched?

Orders placed before 2PM AEST on business days are dispatched the same day.

Orders placed after the cutoff, on weekends, or public holidays will be dispatched the next business day.

How long will delivery take?

Delivery times vary depending on your location, but we aim to get your gear out the door as fast as possible. You’ll receive tracking details as soon as your order ships so you can keep an eye on it.

You are also able to estimate your delivery timeframe using the postcode estimator, found on each product page below the Add To Cart button.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes – we ship worldwide. International delivery times and shipping costs will be calculated at checkout based on your location.

I entered the wrong shipping address – can I change it?

If your order hasn’t been dispatched yet, we’ll do our best to help. Shoot us an email at hello@4x4lab.com.au as soon as possible with your order number and updated details.

Can I cancel or change my order?

If your order hasn’t left the lab yet, we'll do our best to help. Please contact us ASAP and we’ll see what we can do.

How quickly do you respond to enquiries?

We aim to respond to all customer enquiries within 24 hours on business days.

Returns, Refunds & Exchanges

Below are some common questions about our returns policy

What’s your return policy?

We offer a 30-day return policy from the date your order arrives.

To be eligible for a return, items must be:

  • Unused and in original condition
  • In original packaging
  • Include proof of purchase

How do I start a return?

Easy – just email hello@4x4lab.com.au with your order details and reason for return. If approved, we’ll send through return instructions and a return shipping label.

Please note: Returns sent without first contacting us won’t be accepted.

How long do refunds take?

Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll let you know whether your refund has been approved. Approved refunds are processed back to your original payment method within 7 business days.

Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

What if my item arrives damaged or incorrect?

We do all we can to ensure your order is exact, but if something’s damaged, faulty, or not what you ordered, please contact us straight away at hello@4x4lab.com.au and we’ll make it right.

Do you offer exchanges?

The quickest way to swap something over is to return the original item and place a new order once your return has been approved.

Are there any items that can’t be returned?

Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalised items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products).

We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or any gift cards.

I’m not sure what product suits my setup – can you help?

Absolutely. Modern rigs can get complicated fast, so we’re always happy to point you in the right direction. Send us a few details about your vehicle and setup and we’ll help you figure out what’ll work best.

Who is behind 4X4LAB?

We’re a small Western Australia-based team of 4WD enthusiasts who got sick of gear that didn’t quite cut it in the real world. So we started building our own - testing it on our rigs, refining it, and making it better.

We design and test gear in the same conditions you’ll use it - dust, corrugations, heat and long days on rough tracks. The result is hardware that integrates properly, performs consistently, and helps you build a setup you can trust to go further.

Are your products beginner-friendly to install?

We design our products to make installs as straightforward as possible. Clear solutions, practical design, less guesswork. No engineering degree required.
