Parcel Locker & Post Office Delivery Guide
At 4X4 LAB, we know a lot of our customers are on the move, whether you’re travelling, camping, working remotely, or waiting to collect gear before your next trip. That is why we support delivery to Australia Post Parcel Lockers and Post Offices via Parcel Collect.
These options give you more flexibility, better security, and make it easier to receive your order when you are not always at home.
Express Post Shipping
All 4X4 LAB orders are shipped using Australia Post Express Post only.
We dispatch orders same business day when ordered before 2:00 PM AEST.
All orders are shipped from Melbourne, Victoria.
Express Post generally means next business day delivery to major metro areas including:
Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Gold Coast, Hobart and Canberra.
Other areas of Australia are also usually very fast, as your order is still sent with Express Post.

Parcel Lockers
Parcel Lockers are free, secure lockers available 24/7 at hundreds of locations across Australia.
They are a great option if you are travelling, working away, or cannot guarantee someone will be home to receive your delivery.
Once your parcel arrives, Australia Post will send you a unique access code by SMS or email so you can collect it.
Parcel Lockers are suitable for parcels up to 16 kg and a maximum size of 35 × 44 × 61 cm.
If your order is too large for a Parcel Locker, it may be redirected to a Post Office for collection instead.
How to use a Parcel Locker
- Sign up for a Parcel Locker through Australia Post.
- Enter your Parcel Locker details as the shipping address at checkout.
- Parcel Locker codes are usually entered in the company name or address field. Do not stress if it is not perfect, Australia Post is used to handling these deliveries.
- Once delivered, you will receive a code by SMS or email to open the locker.

Post Office / Parcel Collect
Parcel Collect lets you have your order delivered directly to a participating Australia Post Office.
This is a good option if you prefer collecting from a counter, need a larger parcel delivered, or want a longer pickup window than a Parcel Locker.
Australia Post will notify you once your parcel is ready for collection.
Parcel Collect is suitable for parcels up to 22 kg and a maximum size of 105 cm.
How to use Parcel Collect
- Find a suitable Australia Post location.
- Enter the Post Office / Parcel Collect details as your shipping address at checkout.
- This is a common delivery method and Australia Post staff are familiar with it.
- Once your parcel arrives, you can collect it from the Post Office with your ID and notification.

Tip: If you need more time to collect your parcel, contact the Post Office once it arrives. They may be able to hold it a little longer.
Which Option Should You Choose?
Choose a Parcel Locker if you want easy 24/7 access and your order is small enough to fit.
Choose Post Office / Parcel Collect if your order is larger, heavier, or you want more time to collect it.
Both options work with our Express Post shipping, so you can still receive your order quickly while keeping it safe until you are ready to pick it up.
If you are travelling, you can also plan ahead by sending your order to a Parcel Locker or Post Office near your next stop.
