Installation: Direct Battery Connection

Powering your Starlink Mini from a compatible battery is straightforward, with no permanent wiring or inverter required.

Step 1 – Position Your Equipment

Place your Starlink Mini and battery on a stable surface. Ensure the converter has adequate ventilation and the cables can reach without being stretched.

Step 2 – Connect to Starlink Mini

With the battery supply disconnected, insert the adapter's DC power connector into the Starlink Mini power input.

Step 3 – Connect the Battery Clamps

• Connect the red alligator clamp to the positive (+) battery terminal.
• Connect the black alligator clamp to the negative (−) battery terminal.

Check that both connections are secure and correctly positioned.

Step 4 – Power Your Starlink Mini

Once connected, the integrated booster converts the battery supply to regulated 30V DC, providing power to your Starlink Mini.

Allow your dish to start up and establish its connection.

Step 5 – Disconnect Safely

When finished, disconnect the negative (−) clamp first, followed by the positive (+) clamp. Then remove the DC connector from your Starlink Mini.

Tools Required: None for the basic connection.

Important: Use suitable battery-side fuse protection and never allow the clamps to touch each other or other conductive surfaces. Avoid connecting or disconnecting the clamps near flammable gases.

Why Use a 30V Booster?

Starlink Mini accepts 12–48V DC, but a 12V battery setup can experience voltage loss through cables and connections. Boosting the supply to 30V helps maintain suitable voltage at your Starlink Mini, particularly where longer cable runs or changing battery conditions are involved.
